SUMMARY well we made it to the championship in the first half in division 4...not bad for a bunch of stewies...but unfortunately we fell just a bit short....we lost 5-8...but it was a hard fought match...we shot very well but they just shot better...we had a 53.24 team average, 7 team tons, 67% of our shots were over a 40, we had 4 shooters with a double out and we finished with a 2.0 team cricket average...not bad stats at all...on the not so good side we had 17 missed ins which kept us from getting down to out shots...we have to work on the ins and keep the rest of our game stats consistent week in and week out and we can compete with the other teams... THE LOW LIGHTS it must have been the playoffs...."dolla bills" were flying high for the 2nd playoff game in a row....we had 23 in total fines...we have a 3 way tie for the championship playoff prestigious "Skippy Award"....Ed, Johnny and Ted each had 5 in fines....Ed had 3 under 20's, 1 missed in and 1 missed out....Johnny had 2 under 20's, 1 C-rule, and 2 missed ins...Ted had 3 under 20's, 1 missed in and 1 missed out...Jr (1 under 20, 1 missed in and 1 missed out) and Jeff (2 missed ins and 1 squat in cricket) each had 3 in fines...Bill had 2 missed ins...Andy was fine free... Ted was the only shooter that fell under a 45 average with only a 44.13... as a team we did a good job by shooting only 32.77% of our shots under a 40...but if we look deeper under the covers once again we see that these culprits had more than 30% of their shots under a 40......Ed and Ted led the way with 47.83% of their shots under a 40...Johnny (33.33%) just missed the mark...and the following shooters had at least 1 game average under a 40...Johnny (25.25), Jr (32.33), Ted (34.67), Ed (36.33), Andy (39.00)... We had 3 under 9's this week....Jr (3), Ted (7, 7).... we broke our 3 week streak of keeping the missed ins to single digits...this week we had a horrid 17 missed ins...Ed, Johnny and Jeff each had 4 missed ins...Jr and BIll each had 2 missed ins...Ted had 1 missed in...and Andy was a perfect 1 for 1... We had 11 missed outs...Ed had 4 missed outs, Jr and Ted had 3 missed outs....Andy had 1 missed out...Jeff and Johnny were a perfect 1 for 1 at the outs...Bill didn't even have a shot at an out... Johnny posts the lowest cricket average...this week Johnny averaged 1.57...unfortunately we only had a chance for 1 cricket game... Jeff had 1 0-mark cricket rounds... Jeff and Johnny finished the night with only a 28.57% win rate...Andy and Bill only had a 33.33% win rate... THE HIGH LIGHTS this week we only had a team average of 53.24...Jeff had the highest average of the night with a 66.71...Jr (57.66), Andy (55.83), Johnny (52.04) and Bill (50.61) all had over a 50 average...Ed had a 45.70 average to make the over 45 club... let's look "over the covers" again this week...i think it's important to recognize the people that average over a 40 every game...and those shooters that shoot better than 70% of their shots over a 40.....Jeff's lowest average was 55.50 and Bill's lowest average was 47.33...Jeff (94.44% or 1 shot), Bill (77.78% or 2 shots), Andy (75.00% or 2 shots) and Jr (70.00% or 6 shots) were the shooters to have over 70% of their shots over a 40...4 out of 7 shooters with more than 70% of their shots over a 40 is very good shooting... this week we had 7 team tons...Jeff led the way with 3 tons...Jr had 2 tons...Johnny and Ted had 1 ton each...Ed, Andy and Bill weren't "in the mood" to have any scores in the triple digits... Jr had the high score of the night with a 135...Bill (132) and Jeff (121) had other higher scores... Jeff (2 @ 33.33%) and Jr (2 @ 50.00%) led the way with double ins this week...Ed, Andy, Ted and Bill each had 1 double in...Johnny went 0-4... Jr led the way with 2 double outs...Ed, Johnny and Jeff had 1 double out each... Jeff led the way with a 2.43 cricket average...we unfortunately only had 1 cricket game... Jeff led the way with 3 @ 42.86% >=3-mark rounds... Ed, Jr and Ted each had a 50% win rate... THE QUOTES & RECAP 801-1 -- Ed starts the game with a patented "Eddie" (ie 26)...Jr bangs out a 135 and Ted follows that up with a 132...Ed takes the game out for our first win... 801-2 -- Jeff and Johnny both hit a ton...but the game is over in only 11 rounds (which means their team averaged 72.82)...yup a loss... 801-3 -- Ed starts the game with an 11...Jr follows that up with a 3...you read it right...Ed hits a 19 a few rounds later...then hits a 98....but another loss... 801-4 -- Jeff hits a ton...then with 102 left Jeff hits a 94 to set Johnny up for the double 4 out...which he nails...after 801 we're tied 2-2... 501-1 -- 3 missed ins...Ed gets in...next round Ed and Jr both hit a 85 and Ted follows that up with a 7...Jr hits a 100 and then takes the game out his next round... 501-2 -- 8 missed ins...Bill finally gets on with a 79...you got that right it was a loss... 501-3 -- 2 missed ins...Ted gets on with an 82...Ted hits an 11...6 missed outs....but Jr finally takes the game out... 501-4 -- Jeff gets in...Johnny hits a 19...another loss... 501-5 -- Ed misses the in...Jr gets in and his next round he hits a 95...Ted hits a 7 and Ed follows that up with a 10 to finish another loss... 501-6 -- Jeff and Johnny miss the in...Andy gets in...Jeff hits a 121...Andy hits a 92 to set Jeff up for the 32 out... 501-7 -- Jeff gets in with a 93...Johnny hits a 13...only 3 rounds over a 50....another loss... 501-8 -- Ed misses the in...Jr gets in...only 3 rounds over a 50...another loss...after '01 we are losing 5-7... Cricket-1 -- Jeff shoots 2, 0, 4, 2, 4, 3, 2...Johnny shoots 2, 3, 1, 1, 1, 2, 1...not good enough and we lose the championship 5-8... Cricket-2 -- unfortunately we didn't get a chance to play this game... Cricket-3 -- unfortunately we didn't get a chance to play this game... NOTE: if you want it in the blog just write it on the sheet...I don't discriminate... CONCLUSION A rather solid week....Prince just came out and shot very well...they had high averages and hit the double ring to get in and out...but I can't complain about how we played...the only thing was we had too many missed ins...but on the bright side we finally had a solid playoff appearance as a team...if we fix the missed ins situation we'll give ourselves a chance to win...take a couple weeks off and come back ready for the 2nd half...it's getting chilly out there i want one of those heavy jackets this year....haha.... And by popular demand...other people wanted to see their names too...so I guess the only way to do that is put up a YTD Loser Leader section...unfortunately I don't think you want to be on this list...
