SUMMARY After a real close week against Polonia where we won 8-6 we find ourselves playing Lazy Joes #3 in the finals...we know to expect a close match...we start off with (2) 801 losses...never a good way to start...then we go on a 5 game winning streak to put us up 5-2...the next game Jeff gets on with a 112...but we can't seem to hit the out and wind up losing that game and the next game....we win cricket to go up 6-4....only needing 2 wins out of the next 5 games...but we crap the bed and lose 4 in a row to lose the night 6-8...there is no way we should have lost last night...kind of frustrating... THE STATS
No fines collected for the playoffs...
we hit our goal of a 50 team average for the 4th week in a row with a 50.16...but we only had 2 shooters over 50 ....and 4 shooters over a 40...and 1 shooter in the 30's...
1 shooter over 80%....2 shooters over 70.00%...that's some nice consistent shooting...but we have 4 shooters around 50%...that's not very good...
we missed our goal of double digit tons...Jeff and Jr had multiple tons...everyone else had 1 ton except Hop who wasn't "in the mood"...
4 shooters with high tons this week....1 shooter without a ton...
2 shooters in the 40's...3 shooters in the 30's...2 shooters in the 20's....not very good...we have to be consistent every shot every round...
Ed shot a 9 2x...
we only had 5 missed ins and they were all in the last game of 501...so we did a great job of getting in last night...the problem was their team was in very early every game....John, Jr and Matt didn't even get a shot at an in...
14 missed outs (double digit missed outs the past 8 weeks)....only 4 shooters took a game out...Jr and Ted went a combined 0-7 at the outs...we have to hit outs to win...obviously this week showed what happens when you don't hit the outs...
we hit our goal of a 2.0 team average with an impressive 2.55 for the 4th week in a row.......1 shooter over a 3.0 average...3 shooters over a 2.0 average...we went 2-0 in cricket...winning that first cricket game was huge...but after we won the 2nd cricket game I think we were in a false sense of security...we have to remain focused all night...

Cricket-2 -- Jeff shoots 3, 4, 3, 4, 2...John shoots 1, 6, 2, 1, 1 ... our 6th win... 801-4 -- Ed chucks a 9...Ted chucks a 17...a few missed outs and our 5th loss... 501-6 -- Jeff gets in...Jeff hits a ton...but our 6th loss... 501-7 -- Jeff hits a 96 on...but still another loss our 7th loss... 501-8 -- Ed, Ted, Hop, Ed, Ted all miss the in...Hop gets in...Ed chucks a C-rule...and our chance at another championship goes down in flames as we lose the night 6-8... Cricket-3 -- N/A QUOTES NOTE: if you want it in the blog just write it on the sheet...I don't discriminate... CONCLUSION for a championship week we didn't seem to be very focused...a lot of C-rules...a lot of low scores...but we also had a lot of high tons...only 1 game with missed ins...overall just too inconsistent....we have to find a way to start winning these 801 games...especially at the beginning of the night...we can't be starting the night 0-2...but even starting 0-2 we went on a nice 5 game win streak which included a big cricket win to put us a 5-2...we only needed to win 3 games out of the last 8...doesn't sound too hard does it? well when we stink we stink...we went 1-6 in the last 7 games with the win coming from cricket...embarrassing...we had this night right where we wanted it and we couldn't put it away...I guess we have to put this behind us...we have 10 more weeks coming up and we'll likely move up a division if I had to guess...either way I guess it was a pretty good half...we finished in 1st...we made it to the championship and we kept it close till the end of the night...everyone have a great Christmas and New Years....
