20-21 1st Half | Commentary

SUMMARY

Week 10 and we are home against Bob's Tavern....we control our own destiny for the playoffs...if we beat Bobs and get more wins than the cops we're in...any other scenario and we're out...things were back and forth in the beginning going 2-2....then we win 4 more in a row to complete a 5 in a row run to put us up 6-2...split the next 2 games to go 7-3....and then all hell broke loose and we finish the night going 1-4 to finish 8-7....then we find out the cops won 9-6...so we're tied with the cops overall....but wait there's more....remember the 2 weeks we played the cops and lost both times??? well that came back to haunt us as the cops win the tie breaker and finish in 4th and we finish in 5th and miss the playoffs......

as a team we shot 64.17% of our shots over a 40...we had 3 shooters over 69%...1 shooter over 60%....and 2 shooters under 45%....you two better figure out what you are doing...it is completely unacceptable to be shooting under 50% of your shots under a 40 in division 3....especially 10 weeks in...

we hit double digit tons 4 of the past 10 weeks...we went from 6 team tons last week to 17 team tons this week...that's a lot of tons...imagine if we didn't have 3 shooters with 0 combined tons.....Ed R, Ted and Marty weren't "in the mood" to throw any triple digit scores...

CONCLUSION

to say we underperformed this half would be an severe understatement....let's put this whole season into perspective....this half we had a shooter shoot in the 30's 15 times....compared to the same period of time last year we only did it 3 times...if we look at Ed R, Ted and Marty they combined for 1 50+ average all half...if i add in Jr that skyrockets to 3....if we look at Ed R, Ted and Jr last year they combined for 16 50+ weeks....the 2nd half we are going to have to perform much better...losing sucks...and you guys had the ability last year...so no f'n excuses ...step up in the 2nd half...and if you don't i'm shipping you out to a double digit division next year...Hope everyone has a night Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year....be sure to ask Santa for a better dart game for next half.....and don't forget the next time i see everyone FINES for the first half are due....some of you might need to break open your piggy bank.....
